Product Information
Description
Texture is what gives this piece its appeal. The oak veneer shows off visible grain and scattered knots, which stop the surface feeling too even or manufactured. That variation gives the chest a more natural, lived-in quality, while the straight-edged form keeps it firmly on the contemporary side rather than drifting into something overly rustic.
The black steel base is an important part of the design. It lifts the cabinet visually, creates contrast against the timber and gives the piece a sharper outline than an all-wood chest. The matching drawer knobs carry that darker detail through the front, so the whole design feels resolved rather than decorative for the sake of it.
Storage is simple and useful. Three generously proportioned drawers give you proper everyday capacity for folded clothing, accessories or bedroom essentials, and the broad top leaves room for a lamp, mirror or styling pieces without the chest feeling crowded. With only the feet requiring assembly, it is also easier to get into place than fully flat-packed storage furniture.

FAQ's
What makes this chest feel different from a standard three-drawer design?
The difference is in the contrast. Instead of a plain timber box, it combines oak veneer with a black steel underframe and matching dark knobs, which gives it a more structured, design-led look.
Do the grain and knots make the finish look more natural in person?
Yes. The visible grain and random knots give the surface more movement and variation, so it feels warmer and less uniform than a flatter, more processed-looking finish.
Does the raised base change how bulky the chest feels in a bedroom?
Yes. The black steel underframe lifts the cabinet off the floor, which helps it feel less heavy and visually dense than a chest that sits directly on the ground.
Are the drawers deep enough for more than just smaller bedroom items?
Yes. This is not just surface-level storage. The three full-width drawers are suited to everyday folded clothing and other larger bedroom items, not only bits and pieces.
Does the top work well for styling as well as storage furniture?
It does. The wide, uninterrupted top gives you enough room for practical bedside or bedroom styling pieces such as a lamp, tray, mirror or decorative accessories without it feeling overloaded.
Do the black drawer knobs make a noticeable difference to the overall look?
Yes. They are small, but they matter. The black finish links neatly to the steel underframe and gives the front a more coherent, intentional look.
Does the raised steel base change the look compared with a chest that sits flat on the floor?
Yes. It lifts the cabinet visually and gives it a cleaner outline, which helps the piece feel lighter and more architectural than a chest with a full plinth or solid base.
What does feet-only assembly mean for a piece like this?
It means the main cabinet arrives built, with only the feet needing to be attached. That makes setup much more straightforward than assembling the whole chest from flat pack.
