Frequently Asked Questions

What items are included in the auction?

Our auction features clearance stock that we are selling at significantly reduced prices. Items may include ex-display products, seconds, discontinued stock, customer returns or products with slight imperfections, marks or cosmetic damage.

The condition will vary from item to item, so please take this into consideration before placing a bid.

Are the items brand new?

Not necessarily. Some products may be unused, while others may have been on display, handled, previously assembled or may have minor imperfections.

All auction items are sold as seen.

Will every imperfection be listed?

We will always try to provide useful photographs and information about an item's condition where possible. However, auction items may have additional marks, imperfections, damage or signs of handling that are not specifically photographed or described.

We strongly recommend inspecting an item before bidding if its condition is important to you.

Can I return an auction item?

No. All auction purchases are final.

Auction items are sold as seen and cannot be returned, exchanged or refunded because of their condition, appearance, imperfections or suitability once purchased, subject to any rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Please make sure you are happy with the item and its condition before bidding.

Is there a warranty with auction items?

Unless specifically stated on the individual auction listing, auction items are sold without a Shackletons warranty or guarantee relating to their condition.

Is delivery available?

No. Auction items are collection only.

We are unable to offer our normal delivery service on auction purchases unless otherwise stated in the listing.

Where do I collect my auction purchase?

Please follow the collection instructions provided after purchasing.

When can I collect my item?

How quickly do I need to collect my purchase?

Please arrange collection as soon as possible after the auction has ended and payment has been completed.

If you are unable to collect promptly, please contact us before bidding to make sure we can accommodate you.

Do I need to bring anything when collecting?

Please bring your order or auction confirmation with you.

You are also responsible for bringing a suitable vehicle and enough people to safely load your purchase. Due to the size and weight of many furniture items, please do not assume that Shackletons staff will be available to assist with loading.

Will furniture be dismantled for collection?

Unless specifically stated, items should be assumed to be supplied in their existing condition and configuration.

Please check the dimensions and make sure the item will fit into your vehicle before collection.

What happens once I have collected the item?

Please inspect your purchase carefully before removing it from our premises.

Once an auction item has been inspected, accepted and collected, it is deemed to have been accepted in its sold-as-seen condition, subject to any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.
