Product Information
Description
The appeal of the Lily comes from the way its details work together. Hunting Lodge Harris Tweed gives the chair a grounded, textured finish, and the neutral herringbone weave helps the shape feel calm and considered rather than showy. That softer palette also lets the fluted back stand out properly, giving the chair a sculpted look that feels more distinctive than a plain upholstered armchair.
Tan leather piping adds definition through the back and arms, bringing warmth to the tweed and sharpening the outline without making the design feel heavy. The result sits neatly between heritage and contemporary styling. It has enough character for a reading corner or bedroom chair, but the finish is restrained enough to work in a living room where you want texture rather than bold pattern.
Its proportions make it particularly useful. The back feels supportive, the seat has enough depth for regular use, and the overall footprint is easier to accommodate than a larger wing chair. Turned wooden legs add a more traditional furniture note underneath, which suits the Harris Tweed well and gives the piece a balanced, finished look.
Made by Vintage Sofa Company, this is a chair for buyers who want a single armchair to add shape, texture and material interest without overpowering the room. It works especially well with wood furniture, neutral walls, wool rugs and other natural finishes where the weave and leather piping can be appreciated properly.

FAQ's
What makes the Lily different from a standard accent chair?
The fluted back is the main difference. It gives the chair more shape and visual depth than a plain backrest, while the Harris Tweed and leather piping make it feel more considered and furniture-led than a simpler occasional chair.
How does Hunting Lodge Harris Tweed change the look of the chair?
It gives the Lily a softer, more textured finish than a flat plain fabric would. The neutral herringbone weave keeps the chair versatile, while still adding enough depth to make the shape feel richer and more established.
Does the fluted back make this chair feel more formal?
It makes the chair feel more structured and decorative, but not stiff. The detailing adds elegance, while the softer tweed finish keeps the overall look approachable and easy to live with.
What does the tan leather piping add to the design?
It outlines the fluted sections and arms more clearly, which helps the shape stand out. It also brings warmth to the neutral tweed, giving the chair more contrast without introducing a heavier leather finish.
Is the Lily better suited to a bedroom, living room or reading corner?
It can work in all three, but it is especially strong in reading corners, bedrooms and smaller sitting areas where one chair needs to add shape and texture without taking up too much room.
How compact is this chair compared with a traditional wing chair?
It has a smaller, easier-to-place footprint than a full-sized wingback, which makes it a practical option for rooms that cannot comfortably take a deeper or wider statement chair.
Do the turned legs change the overall feel of the chair much?
Yes. They give the Lily a more traditional furniture finish and stop the design from feeling too smooth or modern. That detail works well with the tweed and helps tie the whole chair together.
What sort of interior style suits this chair best?
It suits homes that mix classic materials with cleaner styling. It works particularly well with natural wood, muted paint colours, layered neutrals and other pieces that let the texture of the tweed and the fluted back do the work.
