Product Information
Description
Enigma Indigo gives the Tallis Midi Sofa a dramatic, decorative look without needing the full footprint of the Grand. The deep blue damask pattern sits against a lighter cream ground, creating strong contrast and a more expressive feel than quieter neutral upholstery.
The midi size makes this Tallis easier to place in smaller sitting rooms, snugs and studies, while still offering the comfort and shape of a proper sofa. Scrolled arms bring a classic curve to each side, and the dark turned legs add a refined traditional detail beneath the patterned upholstery.
This colourway is particularly effective in rooms with dark painted walls, natural wood flooring, antique brass, framed artwork or warm neutral textiles. It can also bring depth to a pale room, especially when styled with simple accessories that allow the damask to lead.

FAQ's
How does the Tallis Midi compare with the Tallis Grand?
The Midi keeps the same scroll-arm shape and Enigma Indigo damask, but in a more compact scale. It is easier to place in snugs, studies and smaller living rooms where the Grand may feel too dominant.
Is Enigma Indigo too bold for a smaller room?
It is a statement fabric, but the midi size helps keep the look controlled. Pair it with calmer walls, plain curtains or a simple rug so the blue damask becomes the main feature.
What makes Enigma Indigo different from Enigma Claret?
Enigma Indigo feels cooler and more dramatic, with a stronger contrast between the blue and cream tones. Enigma Claret is warmer and more traditional in mood.
What colours work well with Enigma Indigo?
Cream, charcoal, walnut, antique brass, warm oak, muted gold and soft taupe all pair well with the indigo pattern. Olive green can also work if the room already has a layered, heritage feel.
Would this sofa work in a study or snug?
Yes, the midi size makes it well suited to more intimate rooms. The patterned fabric adds enough presence to make a study or snug feel furnished and considered without needing multiple statement pieces.
Does the damask pattern make the sofa feel formal?
The pattern has a classic decorative feel, but the softer cushions and scroll-arm shape keep the sofa comfortable and inviting. It can suit both formal sitting rooms and relaxed evening spaces.
How should I style extra cushions with this sofa?
Plain cushions are usually best, particularly in cream, warm neutral, navy or muted metallic tones. Too many extra patterns could compete with the Enigma Indigo damask.
Can the Tallis Midi be used as a main sofa?
Yes, it can work as the main sofa in a smaller living room or snug. In a larger space, it pairs well with an accent chair or another Tallis piece for a fuller seating arrangement.
Will the blue damask work with lighter interiors?
Yes, pale walls and lighter floors help the indigo pattern stand out clearly. The cream detail in the fabric also helps connect the sofa to softer neutral schemes.
