Product Information
Description
A framed headboard gives this bed its main character, combining the warmth of oak with the softness of fabric for a balanced, inviting finish. The natural wood tone keeps the design light and versatile, while the upholstered centre panel adds comfort when sitting up to read or unwind.
Designed with a neat, raised profile, the Hatfield Double Bed feels less heavy than a fully upholstered frame and more refined than a plain wooden bedstead. It suits modern country, Scandinavian-inspired and calm neutral bedrooms, particularly where natural materials are used to create a softer, more restful space. The floor clearance also helps the frame feel open, giving the room a lighter appearance.

FAQ's
What style of bedroom does the Hatfield Double Bed suit best?
It suits calm, natural bedrooms with pale woods, soft neutrals and textured bedding. The mix of oak and fabric works well in Scandinavian-inspired, modern country and relaxed contemporary schemes.
Does the fabric headboard make the bed more comfortable?
Yes, the upholstered panel gives the headboard a softer feel than a fully wooden design. It is useful if you like sitting up in bed to read, watch television or have a morning drink.
How does this bed differ from a fully upholstered bed?
It feels lighter and more furniture-led. A fully upholstered bed can look softer and bulkier, while this design keeps the warmth and structure of oak with just enough fabric to add comfort.
Is the natural oak finish easy to coordinate?
Yes, the pale oak tone is versatile and works with white, cream, taupe, grey, sage, blue and warm neutral bedding. It is also easier to pair with other wooden furniture than darker or heavily stained finishes.
Will this bed make a bedroom feel smaller?
The raised frame and lighter wood finish help it feel more open than a heavier bed base. It is a good option where you want a double bed with presence, but not a design that visually dominates the room.
What bedside furniture would work well with it?
Natural oak bedside tables are the easiest match, especially pieces with simple shapes and slim legs. Soft painted furniture can also work well if you want a gentler, more layered bedroom scheme.
Is the space beneath the bed useful?
The clearance beneath the frame helps the bed look lighter and can make cleaning underneath more practical. It is not a dedicated storage bed, so it is better chosen for style and openness than hidden storage.
What does assembly required mean for this bed?
Assembly will be needed before use, as with most bed frames. The main parts are designed to be put together on delivery, creating a fixed double bed frame once assembled.
