Product Information
Description
Built around the natural character of marble, the Amalfi has a more individual look than a standard coffee table. The black finish is lifted by organic veining across the round top, so each piece carries its own pattern rather than looking flat or uniform. That variation is a big part of the appeal, giving the table depth and a more collected feel in the room.
The shape keeps that richness under control. Instead of relying on decorative extras, the design uses a simple circular top and a smooth arched base to create a stronger silhouette. The result feels modern, but not cold. It has the kind of presence that works well with softer upholstery, textured rugs and calmer interiors where materials do more of the work than colour.
There is practical substance here too. At 800mm wide and 400mm high, it offers a useful surface area without becoming oversized, and the 380mm clearance to floor helps the base feel more open than a heavier block design. Made in marble and weighing 51kg, it has a reassuring solidity that suits a main living area rather than an occasional corner. Gallery Direct has kept the design straightforward, which lets the material and shape speak for themselves.

FAQ's
What makes the Amalfi Coffee Table different from a standard black coffee table?
Its appeal comes from the marble itself. Rather than a flat black finish, the top shows natural veining and pattern variation, which gives the table more depth and individuality than a simpler painted or uniform surface.
Will every Amalfi Coffee Table look exactly the same?
No. The marble has natural veining, so each table will have its own pattern. The overall look stays true to the design shown, but the detail in the stone will vary from piece to piece.
How does the round shape affect the look of the table?
The circular top softens the overall design and makes the table feel less rigid than a square-edged alternative. It works especially well in living rooms where you want the centre table to feel substantial but not too sharp or heavy.
What does the arched base add to the design?
It gives the table its sculptural character. The base feels cleaner and more architectural than a conventional four-leg design, which helps the piece look more refined and more design-led.
Is this a better fit for modern interiors only?
Not at all. The shape has a contemporary edge, but marble is timeless, so it can also sit comfortably in more classic interiors. It works best in spaces where natural materials and clean forms are already part of the scheme.
How much space does the Amalfi need around it?
At 800mm wide and deep, it works well as a central coffee table in front of a sofa or within a main seating area. The round shape helps it feel softer in the room than a square or rectangular alternative of a similar size.
Is this a heavy coffee table?
Yes. At 51kg, it has a solid, weighty feel that reflects the marble construction. That gives it a more substantial presence than a lighter occasional table.
Does the Amalfi require assembly?
Yes, assembly is required. Once in place, it offers the more grounded feel you would expect from a marble coffee table.
