Product Information
Description
Sage green changes the mood of this sofa straight away. Lowland Thistle Harris Tweed gives the Lowther a lighter, more settled character than a deeper traditional fabric, so the shape feels classic without becoming too weighty. That balance is one of its strongest points. It has the outline of a heritage sofa, but the colour keeps it fresher and more adaptable in the room.
The tan leather arms bring the contrast into focus. They frame the rolled shape, warm up the tweed and give the sofa a more defined outline, while the natural wood legs keep the base looking clean rather than dense. Coordinating scatter cushions help finish the look and soften the overall silhouette.
Comfort is a major part of the appeal here too. The three-seat layout gives it the scale for regular family use, while the deep cushions and supportive back make it feel practical as well as smart. It is suited to daily sitting, longer evenings in and rooms where the main sofa needs to do more than simply look good.
Made by Vintage Sofa Company, the Lowther leans into traditional materials without feeling stiff or overly formal. It works especially well in living spaces with natural wood, muted walls, wool textures and warmer metal finishes. Feet-only assembly also makes the set-up more straightforward once it arrives.

FAQ's
How does Lowland Thistle Harris Tweed change the feel of the Lowther?
It gives the sofa a calmer, lighter heritage look than a darker tweed would. The sage tone softens the overall presence, so the Lowther feels classic and substantial without looking too heavy.
Do the tan leather arms make this sofa feel formal?
They make it feel more defined rather than overly formal. The leather adds warmth and contrast around the arms, which sharpens the outline and gives the sofa more depth against the tweed.
Is the Lowther a sofa for everyday use or more for a formal room?
It is well suited to everyday use. The generous three-seat format, supportive back and deeper cushions make it practical for regular sitting, while the finish is smart enough for a more dressed room.
What sort of home does this sofa suit best?
It sits particularly well in classic living rooms, country-style interiors and homes that use natural materials. Wood furniture, warm neutrals, muted greens, brass tones and wool rugs all work naturally with this finish.
How do the rolled arms affect the overall look?
They give the sofa a softer, more traditional shape than a straighter arm would. That detail helps the Lowther feel welcoming and established rather than boxy or overly modern.
Do the scatter cushions add much to the design?
Yes, they help break up the frame and make the sofa feel more complete. They also soften the structure visually, which works well with the tweed and leather combination.
Will the sage green tweed be difficult to style with other colours?
Not really. It works easily with creams, off-whites, taupes, darker woods and tan leather. It can also sit well with muted blues, olive tones and warm metallic accents.
How involved is the set-up once the sofa arrives?
Only the feet need attaching, so it is a more straightforward set-up than a sofa that requires larger sections to be assembled.
