Product Information
Description
Authentic Harris Tweed brings depth and quiet distinction to the Arbroath Chair, with a neutral Jura Stag weave that feels softer and more versatile than darker tartans or bold checks. Its natural texture gives the chair a country house quality, while the tailored buttoning across the back and arms adds shape, shadow and traditional upholstery detail.
The silhouette is substantial without feeling heavy. Rolled arms, a deep cushioned seat and a high buttoned back create a chair made for longer sitting, from reading beside a window to adding a more formal accent beside a fireplace. The dark wooden feet and stud trim sharpen the look, giving the chair a more polished finish than a plain fabric armchair.
This is a strong choice for interiors that need a single statement seat with British character. It can sit confidently with leather, dark wood, antique pieces and wool throws, but the neutral Harris Tweed also makes it easier to place in calmer schemes with cream, stone, navy, charcoal or warm timber.

FAQ's
What makes the Jura Stag Harris Tweed fabric distinctive?
Jura Stag has a warm, natural tone with a woven texture that feels refined rather than overly patterned. It gives the chair heritage character while staying versatile enough for both classic and more relaxed interiors.
Is the Arbroath Chair better as an accent chair or everyday armchair?
It works well as both, but its shape and detailing make it especially effective as an accent armchair. The buttoned back, rolled arms and stud trim give it enough presence to stand alone in a reading corner, study or living room.
How does this chair differ from a plain upholstered armchair?
The Arbroath has a more traditional, crafted look, with deep buttoning, Harris Tweed upholstery, scrolled arms and turned wooden feet. It feels more characterful and tailored than a simpler fabric chair.
What interior styles suit this Tetrad chair?
It suits country homes, period properties, libraries, studies and classic living rooms particularly well. It can also add warmth and texture to more contemporary spaces with neutral walls, dark wood or leather accents.
Does the neutral Harris Tweed make the chair easy to style?
Yes. The softer Jura Stag shade is easier to layer than a bold check or dark tartan, especially with cream, taupe, brown, charcoal, navy and muted green schemes.
Is this chair a good match for the Arbroath sofas?
Yes, it pairs naturally with the Arbroath sofas if you want a coordinated seating arrangement. It also works as a standalone piece when you want the Harris Tweed texture without committing to a full suite.
What gives the chair its traditional British character?
The combination of genuine Harris Tweed, deep button tufting, rolled arms, stud detailing and dark wooden feet creates the British heritage feel. It has the presence of a classic armchair without looking overly formal.
