Product Information
Description
Natural grain is a big part of what makes this table appealing. The lightly sand-blasted finish brings out the texture and variation in the mango wood, so the surface feels richer and less uniform than a smoother, flatter finish. That gives the table warmth and character, while still keeping the overall look clean enough for both modern and more classic dining rooms.
The x-shaped end frame base does more than define the design. It gives the table a strong architectural identity and helps it feel secure and well balanced, which suits the solid nature of the top. There is a sense of weight and permanence to it, but the layout remains practical for everyday dining rather than feeling overly formal.
As the smaller option in the Ashbourne dining table design, this piece makes sense for homes that want the same bold base and textured timber finish in a more manageable format. Seating for six keeps it useful for family dining and occasional guests, while assembly being limited to the feet makes setup simpler than a fully flat-packed table.

FAQ's
What makes the Ashbourne Small Dining Table different from a standard six-seater table?
Its strongest point of difference is the x-shaped end frame base paired with the solid mango wood top. That combination gives it a more architectural, grounded look than a simpler four-leg dining table.
How does the sand-blasted finish affect the look of the wood?
It brings out more of the timber’s natural grain, colour and texture, so the table feels more characterful and less uniform. The result is a surface with a softer, more organic look than a smoother polished finish.
Is this the smaller size in the Ashbourne dining table design?
Yes, this is the smaller option and it is also available in a larger size. That makes it a good choice if you like the design but want something better suited to a more compact dining area.
Does the x-shaped base make the table feel heavier in a room?
It gives the table a solid presence, but it reads as structured rather than bulky. The base is a big part of the design, so it feels intentional and substantial rather than oversized.
Will each table have its own variation in grain and tone?
Yes, that is part of the appeal of mango wood. The finish is designed to show the natural texture and variation in the timber, so the table has more individuality than a flatter, more uniform material.
Is this a good option for everyday family dining as well as guests?
Yes, seating for six makes it practical for daily use while still giving enough room for busier mealtimes or occasional entertaining. It sits in a useful middle ground between a compact dining table and a larger hosting table.
What does assembly required for feet only mean on this table?
It means the table does not need building completely from scratch. Assembly is limited to the feet, which makes setup more straightforward than a fully flat-packed dining table.
Does the mix of mango wood and metal make the table feel rustic or more tailored?
It feels more tailored than rustic. The timber keeps the look warm and natural, while the metal element in the construction adds structure and helps the design feel cleaner and more defined.
