Product Information
Description
Bracken Herringbone gives the Caledonian Grand Sofa a warm, layered character, with a woven finish that feels more tactile and understated than a full leather Chesterfield. The deep buttoned back and seat bring definition to the design, while the scrolled arms, stud detailing and turned feet add the familiar heritage cues of traditional British upholstery.
Generous in scale, this is a sofa made for larger sitting rooms, period homes and spaces where the main seating needs to feel substantial without becoming overly formal. The Harris Tweed fabric brings depth and natural variation, pairing especially well with timber, aged brass, patterned cushions and soft neutral schemes.

FAQ's
How does the Caledonian Grand Sofa differ from a classic leather Chesterfield?
It has the same traditional influence through its buttoning, scrolled arms and generous shape, but the Harris Tweed upholstery gives it a softer, warmer and less formal character than a full leather Chesterfield.
What kind of room suits the Grand Sofa best?
Its larger proportions work best in spacious living rooms, drawing rooms, open-plan spaces and period properties where the sofa can act as the main seating feature.
What does Bracken Herringbone look like in person?
Bracken Herringbone has a warm, natural woven look with subtle variation in the fabric. It feels textured and characterful without being too bold or heavily patterned.
Is this sofa more traditional or contemporary?
It leans traditional in shape, but the softer Harris Tweed finish makes it easier to place in both classic and more relaxed modern-country interiors.
Does the buttoned seat affect everyday comfort?
The buttoning gives the sofa its distinctive tailored look, while the generous scale and upholstered finish keep it suitable for everyday sitting rather than purely formal use.
What styling works well with this sofa?
It pairs well with warm woods, antique brass, patterned cushions, wool throws and neutral wall colours. The Bracken Herringbone fabric also works beautifully with burnt orange, olive, cream and muted brown tones.
Is this a good choice as the main sofa in a living room?
Yes, the Grand size gives it enough presence to anchor a room, especially where the sofa is intended to be the main focal point rather than a secondary seat.
What makes the Caledonian Grand Sofa feel distinctive?
Its mix of Harris Tweed, deep buttoning, broad proportions and scrolled arms gives it a more relaxed heritage feel than many Chesterfield-style sofas, with texture and warmth as the main focus.
