Product Information
Description
Bracken Herringbone brings a quieter kind of luxury to the Berneray Bed Frame, using woven texture rather than shine or heavy decoration to create its impact. The warm neutral tone has depth up close, while the herringbone pattern keeps the upholstery smart, structured and easy to pair with both pale linens and richer bedroom accents.
The tall, deep-buttoned headboard gives the bed its strongest design feature. Generously padded and neatly tufted, it creates a composed backdrop for pillows while adding the height and softness that make a bedroom feel more finished. The same fabric continues across the footboard and side rails, giving the frame a complete upholstered look rather than a simple headboard-led design.
Turned wooden feet add a traditional note at floor level, keeping the silhouette lifted and balanced. With its king size proportions, sprung slatted base and quietly patterned upholstery, the Berneray is well suited to a main bedroom where comfort, texture and long-term style matter more than passing trends.

FAQ's
What makes the Bracken Herringbone fabric different from a plain upholstered bed?
The herringbone weave gives the bed more texture and visual depth than a plain fabric, while the warm bracken tone keeps the look calm and understated. It is a good option if you want pattern without a bold colour or heavy contrast.
Does the tall headboard make a noticeable difference in the room?
Yes. The height of the buttoned headboard gives the Berneray a clear focal point, helping the bed anchor the room rather than blending into the background. It works particularly well against panelled walls, painted walls or natural timber finishes.
Is this bed frame more suited to traditional bedrooms?
It has a traditional upholstery influence, but it is not limited to period interiors. The neutral herringbone fabric makes it easy to use in softer contemporary bedrooms, country-inspired schemes and relaxed classic interiors.
How does the fully upholstered frame affect the overall look?
The upholstered side rails and footboard make the bed feel more complete and considered from every angle. This is especially useful in larger bedrooms where more of the frame is visible.
What colours work well with Bracken Herringbone?
Soft white, oatmeal, stone, sage, charcoal and warm wood tones all sit naturally with the bracken fabric. For a richer look, it can also be styled with olive, rust, deep brown or muted plum accents.
Is the headboard practical as well as decorative?
Yes. The padded buttoned headboard gives comfortable support for sitting up in bed, while also adding the depth and detail that makes the frame feel more luxurious.
Does the Berneray feel bulky for a king size bed?
The king size gives it presence, but the neutral fabric and raised turned feet help prevent it feeling too heavy. The tailored upholstery keeps the shape neat rather than oversized.
What kind of buyer is this bed best for?
It suits someone looking for a properly finished upholstered bed with texture, warmth and a classic British feel, rather than a plain modern frame or a heavily ornate stateme
