Product Information
Description
Not every bar stool needs to feel sleek or minimal. The Gallery Direct Artisan Bar Stool brings in a more furniture-led look, with the kind of detail that makes it feel considered rather than purely functional. Its hand-turned bobbin legs give the piece a crafted, traditional character, while the pale oak finish keeps the overall effect lighter and easier to place in modern homes.
The upholstered seat adds an extra layer of comfort, which matters when a stool is used regularly rather than occasionally. The biscuit-toned fabric softens the timber frame and helps the design feel warmer and more inviting, whether it is placed beside a kitchen island, at a breakfast bar or as part of a more relaxed open-plan living space.
Its square footprint keeps the design neat and balanced, while the built-in stretcher support adds practicality and helps the stool feel sturdy under everyday use. That makes it well suited to homes looking for bar seating that is comfortable, decorative and easy to live with.
It works particularly well in classic kitchens, cottage-style interiors and softer rustic schemes, but the pale finish and simple upholstery also help it sit naturally in cleaner spaces that need a little more warmth. Rather than feeling like an afterthought, it brings texture and personality to the room in a subtle, useful way.

FAQ's
Does the upholstered seat make this bar stool more comfortable for longer sitting?
Yes, the padded upholstered seat gives it a softer feel than an all-wood stool, which can make it more comfortable for everyday use.
What style of kitchen does the Artisan Bar Stool suit?
It suits classic, country and softly rustic kitchens especially well, though the pale oak finish also works nicely in more understated modern spaces.
What makes this bar stool different from a plain wooden stool?
The turned bobbin legs and upholstered seat give it a more decorative, furniture-like feel, so it adds more character than a simple backless stool.
Is the seat height suitable for a breakfast bar or kitchen island?
With a seat height of 650mm, it is suited to many kitchen islands and breakfast bars, especially where you want a more relaxed perch rather than a very tall commercial-style stool.
Does this stool feel heavy in a room?
No, the lime-wash finish and open leg design help keep the overall look light, so it adds detail without making the space feel crowded.
Does the Gallery Direct Artisan Bar Stool require assembly?
No, it is listed as not requiring assembly.
What gives the Artisan Bar Stool its distinctive look?
The standout feature is the hand-turned bobbin leg detail, which gives the stool a more crafted and decorative appearance.
Why choose a backless bar stool like this?
A backless design can keep the space looking lighter and makes it easier to tuck the stool under a counter when not in use.
