Product Information
Description
Ribble has a more relaxed, design-led feel than a standard armchair. The ribbed leather back, warm tan tone and sculpted wooden frame give it a clear mid-century influence, but the overall look is softer and more lived-in than something overly retro.
It has enough presence to stand out in a room, yet it still feels practical as an everyday seat. The padded back and cushioned seat make it comfortable for longer use, while the open wooden arms keep the silhouette lighter than a fully upholstered chair. That balance helps it work well in sitting rooms, bedrooms, studies and reading corners without feeling bulky.
The leather and wood combination also makes it easy to place with other furniture. It works naturally with oak, walnut, black metal, soft neutrals and deeper earthy tones, so it can sit comfortably in both contemporary and more characterful interiors. Ribble suits spaces that want an accent chair with warmth, texture and more personality than a plainer occasional seat.

FAQ's
Does the Ribble Chair feel more like an accent chair or a proper everyday seat?
It has the look of an accent chair, but the padded seat and supportive back make it comfortable enough for regular use in a sitting room, bedroom or reading corner.
Will the leather make it feel too dark in a smaller room?
Not usually. The warm tan tone feels softer than a darker brown or black chair, and the open wooden frame helps keep the overall look lighter.
Is this chair only suited to mid-century interiors?
No. It works especially well in mid-century spaces, but the leather and wood combination also suits rustic-modern, industrial and contemporary rooms.
Can the Ribble Chair work in a bedroom or study as well as a living room?
Yes. Its size and styling make it easy to use as a bedroom chair, a reading chair or an occasional seat in a home office.
Do the wooden arms make it feel less comfortable?
The wooden arms shape the design, while the comfort comes from the cushioned seat and supportive back. It should feel more relaxed than rigid.
Is leather a practical choice for everyday use?
Yes. Leather is generally easier to keep looking smart than many fabrics, and natural wear often adds character rather than making the chair look tired.
Does the ribbed back make the design feel dated?
No. The ribbed detailing gives the chair identity, but the overall shape is classic enough to feel timeless rather than trend-led.
Is the Ribble Chair more decorative or more comfortable?
It balances both. The materials and silhouette give it presence, while the cushioned seat and back make it a chair you would actually want to sit in.
