Product Information
Description
Compact enough to sit neatly at the side of a kitchen, this butchers block adds an extra surface without the scale of a full island. The solid oak top is suited to everyday kitchen use, while the drawer keeps smaller items close to hand.
Two lower shelves offer open storage for bowls, baskets, cookbooks or folded linens, and the side rail is useful for a tea towel or oven gloves. The dark Meteor finish gives the frame a smart contrast against the natural oak, with metal handle detailing tying it back to the wider Eton collection. Natural variation in the oak top means each piece has its own tone and grain character.

FAQ's
Is this more of a kitchen island or a storage trolley?
It works best as a compact kitchen island or fixed butchers block rather than a trolley. It adds useful prep space and storage without needing the footprint of a larger island.
What makes the Meteor finish different from lighter Eton pieces?
Meteor gives the frame a darker, more defined look, making it feel smarter and more contemporary than the softer white or prairie finishes in the Eton collection.
Can the oak top be used for everyday kitchen tasks?
Yes, the oak top is designed as a practical kitchen surface. As with any natural wood surface, using chopping boards and wiping spills promptly will help keep it looking its best.
What can the lower shelves be used for?
The open shelves suit items you want visible and easy to reach, such as mixing bowls, baskets, serving pieces, recipe books or folded tea towels.
Is the hanging rail useful in a small kitchen?
Yes, it is a helpful detail where drawer or cupboard space is limited. It keeps a tea towel or oven gloves close by without taking up shelf or worktop space.
Will this suit a modern kitchen?
Yes, especially if the kitchen has darker cabinetry, black hardware, oak details or a more industrial-country feel. The Meteor base gives it a sharper look than a traditional cream-painted piece.
Does the oak top look exactly the same on every piece?
No, the natural oak top can vary in tone and grain. That variation is part of the character and helps the piece feel less uniform than a fully painted kitchen unit.
