Product Information
Description
Full tan leather changes the feel of the Granby straight away. Rather than relying on contrast between the frame and cushions, it gives the sofa one continuous surface, so the shape reads more clearly from end to end. That makes it feel cleaner, more classic and more settled in the room.
Across the back and inner arms, the leather gives the buttoning a sharper definition than a woven fabric would. The rolled arms feel fuller, the front rail looks more substantial, and the overall silhouette has more of the traditional Chesterfield character that suits this model so well. It is still warm in tone, though, which stops it from feeling too severe.
That warmth is what makes this sofa easy to place. Tan leather works naturally with timber, stone, painted furniture and softer neutral schemes, so the Granby can sit comfortably in both period-style interiors and cleaner, more pared-back spaces. It has presence, but it does not need an overly formal room around it.
This is also a sensible size for a proper everyday sofa. It gives you the look and substance of a classic leather two-seater without pushing the room towards something heavier or more club-like. The overall effect is smart, grounded and easy to live with day to day.

FAQ's
Does full tan leather change the character of the Granby compared with the other finishes?
Yes. It gives the sofa a more unified look, so the buttoning, arms and front rail read as one complete design rather than as contrasting sections. That makes it feel more classic and more overtly Chesterfield in character.
Will the buttoning stand out more in leather than it does in fabric?
It usually does. Leather tends to show the depth and shape of the buttoning more clearly, so the back and arms look more sculpted and defined.
Does the tan leather make this sofa feel too formal for everyday use?
Not on this model. The buttoning and rolled arms are traditional, but the tan tone keeps the overall look warmer and more approachable than a darker leather sofa.
Is this the kind of leather that will mark and change over time?
Yes, and that is part of the appeal. A sofa like this is expected to develop more character with use, so light creasing and variation in tone help it feel more natural rather than overly uniform.
Will the seat cushions age differently from the rest of the sofa?
They usually show the most use first, simply because they take the most pressure day to day. On a full leather Granby, that can work well visually, as it gives the sofa a more lived-in finish without breaking the overall look.
What sort of room does an all-leather Granby suit best?
It works well in living rooms, studies and snug spaces that want a more grounded, furniture-led feel. It is especially good where there are natural materials nearby, such as wood floors, painted joinery or stone fireplaces.
Do the rolled arms make this feel more traditional than a straight-armed leather sofa?
Yes. Rolled arms give the Granby a softer and more recognisable heritage shape. They stop the sofa feeling too plain and give the leather a fuller, more upholstered look.
Does full leather make this Granby feel heavier in a room than the fabric styles?
Visually, it gives the sofa more presence, but the tan tone stops it feeling too dense or dark. It still reads as a neat two-seater rather than a bulky traditional sofa.
