Product Information
Description
Cornis brings a rich, close-grained look to this Alexander Rose garden bench, giving the familiar Broadfield design a slightly deeper, more traditional character than lighter hardwood alternatives. The timber has an oiled finish that helps show off its straight grain, with a natural brown tone that can deepen and weather attractively over time.
Designed as the smaller Broadfield option, it offers practical everyday seating without dominating the space. The shaped back and slatted seat support relaxed sitting, while the open construction helps rainwater drain away more easily after showers. Its FSC-certified hardwood frame, 3-year guarantee and neatly proportioned footprint make it a sensible choice for buyers wanting a well-made wooden garden bench with classic appeal.

FAQ's
Is the Cornis Broadfield 4ft bench best for smaller gardens?
Yes, its 4ft size makes it a practical choice for compact patios, courtyards, balconies and smaller lawn areas where a 5ft bench may feel too large.
What does Cornis wood look like?
Cornis has a warm brown appearance with a close, mostly straight grain. The oiled finish gives it a richer look than pale hardwoods and suits more traditional garden settings.
How does the Broadfield shape affect comfort?
The curved slatted back gives more support than a very flat, upright bench, while the slatted seat keeps the design breathable and practical for outdoor use.
Will the bench change colour outside?
Yes, like most natural hardwood garden furniture, Cornis will gradually weather outdoors. Regular care with a suitable Cornis oil can help preserve its richer brown tone.
Is this bench suitable for a front garden or entrance area?
Yes, the compact width and traditional slatted design make it well suited to an entrance, path edge or front garden where you want seating without overwhelming the space.
What is the difference between Cornis and roble benches?
Cornis has a darker, oiled brown finish and a more accessible price point, while roble is generally a lighter-toned hardwood with a longer guarantee. Both suit outdoor seating, but they give a different look.
Does the bench need cushions?
Cushions are optional. The shaped back and slatted seat are designed for everyday sitting, though a cushion can add extra softness for longer use.
Is assembly required?
Yes, some assembly is required. Once assembled, the bench has a sturdy hardwood frame suitable for regular garden use.
